WELCOME

THE FUTURE IS NOT A PLACE YOU’RE GOING TO. IT IS A PLACE YOU’RE MAKING…

Welcome to RAISE-AP, a specialist education provider in Eastleigh, Hampshire, supporting young people who have faced challenges in mainstream education. Our moto is BE KIND, WORK HARD and AIM HIGH.

RAISE-AP support students who are 11-16 with bespoke alternative education and recognised qualifications, designed around each young person and their unique strengths, allowing them to thrive, become independent and succeed in pathways that they wish to follow when looking at their next steps in education or the wider workplace.

Our RAISE values are at the heart of everything we do, with the aim to reintegrate our students into school life, by building confidence, social skills, and emotional development, ensuring they are ready to succeed. We passionately believe in our values, which are centred around the unique needs and strengths of each young person:

RESILIENCE – empowering our young people to keep trying after challenges or setbacks.

ATTITUDE – positive attitudes towards learning and wider life, shown through behaviour and effort.

INTEREST – bespoke education to engage in learning for the future pathways our young people want to journey on.

SELF-CONFIDENCE – supporting our young people to succeed and take on challenges.

EMPATHY – valuing and caring about each individual, showing kindness and tolerance to all in our community.

STAFF

RAISE-AP was founded in 2025 by Craig McAllister alongside the assistance of Tracy Raufi, who between them have nearly 30 years of experience in education, across a range of schools, including SEN primary and SEN secondary schools. Craig and Tracy have both had senior leadership roles across many schools, as well as Craig also being a deputy-headteacher at a specialist SEN provision.

School education is one of the most important foundations in a person’s life, as it equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to succeed in the future. It helps children develop literacy and numeracy, while also encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Beyond academic learning, school plays a vital role in teaching social skills, teamwork, and responsibility, preparing students to contribute positively to society. Education also opens doors to future opportunities, empowering individuals to pursue careers, make informed choices, and improve their quality of life. In this way, school education is not only about knowledge, but also about shaping confident, capable, and responsible citizens.

The philosophy at RAISE-AP is to ensure our young people are supported as we recognise that mainstream schools are not always suited to everyone. Some students may find the large class sizes, fast pace, or rigid routines difficult to manage, while others might have additional needs that require more tailored support. For some young people, the traditional classroom environment can make it harder to learn, build confidence, or express their abilities. This does not mean they are less capable, but rather that they may thrive better in alternative settings where teaching can be adapted to their individual strengths and challenges. Recognising that one size does not fit all in education is key to ensuring every young person has the chance to succeed and this is our goal at RAISE-AP.
